The Shafter Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture "Cinco de Mayo Committee," is happy to inform you that this year's 2024 Cinco de Mayo Celebration will be held on Saturday May 4, 2024. The festival begins with a traditional, colorful downtown parade at 10:00 AM. Following the parade, the festivities will continue at Mannel Park, where we will have a great community celebration with a variety of food-booths, games, arts, crafts, and local and professional entertainment throughout the day. The booths are operated by various business, church, school and service organizations.

Take this opportunity to promote your business, agency or service organization. Community leaders, families, students, educators, and churches will participate in the parade and park activities. This is a great time for non-profits to have a lucrative fund-raiser for their cause. At the same time, businesses and organizations can advertise their service in the parade, and at the festival at Mannel Park throughout the day.

For the past thirty years plus, businesses and individuals have graciously sponsored the Cinco de Mayo Festival with generous donations. Your support has made it possible for the committee to deliver a quality festival and parade.  The Committee awards Scholarships to deserving Shafter High Graduates. We also offer monetary awards to local clubs and organizations that are school and community affiliated.

With your support and sponsorship, we will meet the high expectations of this educational and cultural celebration for the community. There are people from all over Kern County, the San Joaquin Valley, and as far as Los Angeles and Phoenix, Arizona, who have participated in this unique festival.

As a sponsor, your company or organization's advertisement will appear in the "Special Shafter Cinco de Mayo Program” in the Shafter Press. In addition, the Cinco de Mayo web site will also have a special “Sponsors Recognition.”  Your business, organization name or logo, will be displayed at Mannel Park throughout the day.

The Reply Memo enclosed with this letter has options for your sponsorship. Please check your preference and mail the memo in the self-addressed stamped envelope provided, with your donation to the Cinco de Mayo Committee office, at 273 Faber St. Shafter CA. 93263.  Please include your business card or logo.
