The Shafter Chamber of Commerce Cinco de Mayo Committee invites the community to come out and enjoy our Cinco de Mayo festivities, Saturday, May 3, 2025!
Ballet Folklorico Huaztecalli is a local group filled with passionate and dedicated dancers united by love for the art of dance. We enjoy sharing traditional Mexican folk dancing throughout our community. Founded in 1994 by Jerry Fierro. Our team is made up of kids, youth, and adults. Who offer a variety of heritage folkloric dances.
Moonlighterz are a 6-member all-genre band from Bakersfield,
California. Juan Castilleja is lead singer, rhythm guitar player, and
percussionist. Alberto Aguilar is a singer and rhythm guitar player.
Daythen Larry Fernandez sings and plays lead guitar. Salvador
Gutierrez is singer and bass guitar player. Natalie Wren is singer and
keyboard player. And Ernesto Aguilar is singer, drummer, and
percussionist.
The band had a common interest growing up listening to Beatles, James
Brown, Fito Olivares, Santana and many more. The Moonlighterz met
through family and friends growing up. Their unique style of
entertainment fuses all genres such as Latin, Funk, Country, Rock,
Oldies and much more. They have surprising set changes that will make
you want to get off your chair and on to the dance floor.
Moonlighterz has opened up for legends such as Malo, Pesado, Lalo
Mora, Cardenales, and many more iconic bands. To find out more about
